My Spontaneous Kundalini Awakening

I’ve had a kundalini awakening and it happened spontaneously in the middle of my undergraduate psychology lecture.

Let me give that some context.  In university, I was an atheist with a blocked heart chakra and closed off to all things extrasensory, metaphysical, and spiritual.  I had not started practicing yoga yet.  My main focus was to study and get as near perfect grades as I could, often dismissing socializing.

The only time I was receptive enough was during lectures, having shown up to receive knowledge.  My spirit guides must have known this because I received numerous energy healings during these lectures.  Sometimes I would fall semi unconscious as I felt energy moving through me and out the top of my head.  I wasn’t aware of the full extent of what was happening at the time of course.

During one lecture, I sat up straight as I suddenly sensed energy stirring at the base of my spine.  It began to move up slowly but steadily, increasing in intensity until it reached my third eye and exploded in a full body orgasm.

It was different from a sexual orgasm and did not feel sexual as there was no increased heat or sensations in the reproductive areas and no muscle contractions.  The orgasm lingered longer than a sexual one, bringing heightened clarity and awareness.

I sat there wondering what brought this on.  The lecture was engaging but by no means orgasmic.  Afterwards, I did not feel much different, at least none that I could tie to this experience.

It’s a testament to how closed off I was and what a tunnel vision I had, because I didn’t even have enough curiosity nor concern about this experience to Google it or try to find out what it was and what it meant.  It did not hinder my goals, so I carried on, not giving it any additional thought.

It was much later that I learned about kundalini awakening and realized that’s what I had.

Given the ease with which the kundalini rose and was able to complete smoothly, I suspect it was a reactivation from cellular memory and that I had awakened kundalini in a past life before.

It’s also possible that I was simply lucky to have a smooth experience and that the physical, emotional, and mental health struggles that coincided with this period of my life were the aftermath of this kundalini awakening.

I lacked adequate self care, was so hard on myself, and suffered anxiety, depression, and physical illnesses.  I lived in overwhelm and stress.  This was around 2012, when the way to my spiritual awakening was starting to be paved, with this kundalini activation and a few other experiences.  My healing journey back to love and back to health and well-being would follow in 2020, alongside my spiritual awakening (read about it here).
